While Mom Goes Hunting, the Little Bear Cubs Hold Their Hands

When we hear the word wildlife, savage and threatening feelings are just coming into our minds. But they are not like that, even though we have seen so many unbelievable moments about wildlife. This is also an amazing sight that we haven’t seen before: two bear cubs holding their hands and waiting until their mom comes back after hunting. Luckily the Wildlife photographer Lewis Kemper was there to capture these amazing shots.

Lewis Kemper is a 62 years old photographer with so much experience in nature photography. He lives based in California. When he captured these amazing shots of little cubs holding their hands and watching how mom is trying to catch some fish for their dinner, he was at the Lake Clark National Park. Once in an interview, “I was contributing a photography trip across Lake Clark in Alaska earlier in the month when I discovered a female as well as her two cubs are eagerly awaiting her return with food.” Lewis explained. “I was trying to stand approximately 20 feet away out from two cubs – bears with in this area are all used to human habitation and therefore do not mind us,” he added.

Those little bear cubs were waiting impatiently till their mom came back with dinner. But unfortunately, she was not able to hunt anything for their dinner, so she came back with empty hands. The photographer said, “The two bears held hands for around 20 seconds.” Also, he said, “They hoped their mother would bring them some dinner but unfortunately, she came back fishless.” As Wildlife experts told, the successful hunting rates of bears are very low, and it takes just a 10% success rate.

As we heard too, Bears favourite meal is fish. But the most time they used to eat plants as their diet. “The majority of bears are omnivores and eat a lot of plants, as well as a lot of grass.” Lewis told furthermore.

Also, these cubs are not the first ones caught on camera by holding hands together. But this is the first story that we have heard about bear cubs holding their hands. And there is a story about two penguins holding their flippers; it was captured by a couple on a South African beach. Those photos could also melt most people’s hearts on social media. You can watch that amazing scene on YouTube from here.
